Performance

Working in collaboration with The New York Pops management and creative team, our designer, Antonio Consuegra, is working on a fun and festive costume for the Camp Broadway Ensemble. Antonio and Katie will be on hand on Saturday, April 27 for the costume fittings. If necessary alterations will be done overnight for costume distribution on Sunday.

While all performers will be dressed similarly, each young artist will have their own individual style. Because of the quick turnaround from fitting to event, we are asking that your child bring the following clothing items to the Saturday, April 27th rehearsal to ensure we have backup pieces that fit your child:

Please bring a pair of black pants.

We have been advised by one of our clothing suppliers that they are unable to deliver one of our wardrobe items in time. Therefore, we are asking ALL performers to bring solid dark black pants—which they will wear in the finale. NO jeans or adornments, please. Kids can also wear a simple black belt if desired. Boys will be provided with a shirt and tie—which will be tucked in. Girls will be provided with a dress blouse.

Underwear and Socks

Please make sure your child is wearing undergarments to all rehearsals and the performance!

Don’t forget black opaque socks or tights.

Clarification on Shoes

Black sneakers are fine. But, if they have white borders that will show from the stage, please cover the white with black tape. Reminder: NO open-toed shoes, sandals or heels. Dance shoes, ballet slippers, or fashionable all-black sneakers are fine.

Hair and Makeup

The Ensemble will be spending Monday at Carnegie Hall. Parents will not have any access backstage. Therefore, if parents want to braid or adorn their performers hair, please do so before dropping them off in the morning.

Performers will have an opportunity to freshen up after rehearsal and prior to the performance. They can wear minimal makeup for the performance. Light foundation, blush, eye shadow and gloss. NO heavy stage makeup.

Jewelry

Performers can wear a button earring. No dangling or hoops.
