Marya’s Gift, a scholarship fund for Camp Broadway and other arts organizations, provides financial assistance for children ages 7-17 who are interested in pursuing theater, dance, or visual design.
The fund is named in memory of Marya Lenn Yee, a passionate patron of the arts and loyal friend, who knew that nurturing artists and building audiences begins in programs like Camp Broadway – places where kids find their voices, build their confidence, and develop their character. Without her wisdom and brilliant legal advice, Camp Broadway would not exist today.
Marya’s Gift enables future generations of artists to feel the love and support that Marya provided to everyone who knew her.
The Broadway Education Alliance, a New York City based 501.c3, manages Marya’s Gift.
2026 scholarship applications will be accepted from January 2nd until March 6th. The application requires:

2. A letter of recommendation from a teacher or arts professional describing how the applicant will benefit from the Camp Broadway Experience.

Incomplete applications will not be considered by the scholarship committee. If any of the above requirements are not submitted by the deadline, the application will not be reviewed.
Please DO NOT complete your Mainstage or Shining Stars registration in Camp Brain until you’ve submitted your scholarship application and received a decision from our committee.
Camp Broadway also thanks the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation for their continued support.
“Once again, the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation is more than pleased to help deserving and talented youngsters attend Camp Broadway. We are proud to continue the charitable legacy of Miss Ella Fitzgerald, the beloved ‘First Lady of Song.'”
