Camp Broadway Workshop Instructor Training

Camp Broadway, LLC and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County seek musical theater teaching artists, certified high school teachers and performers with experience providing instruction and classes in dance, singing and acting to pre-teens and teens with varying levels of experience. Qualified persons will be trained in Camp Broadway’s Youth Workshop Methodology to teach the principles of musical theater performances through theater games, dance instruction and vocal exercises designed to create success for every group and skill set. Training will consist of 4-hour session taught by a Camp Broadway Lead Instructor who will demonstrate the teaching method and principles. Once training is completed, trainees will be Camp Broadway Certified Workshop Instructors and will be eligible for hire by Camp Broadway to lead workshops at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. Workshops will be a companion offering to the Broadway Series presented by Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.
Job pre-requisites include:
For all: Candidates should list all relevant training including formal musical theatre education (primary and secondary), dance classes, vocal training or other certifications or professional development credentials in arts education. Experience leading classes for students and/or non-professional adults preferred but not required. Teaching Artist credentials a plus.
For performers: Professional credits as a musical theater performer such as regional theater, cruise ships, theme park, dinner theater or similar.
For teachers: Experience with vocal instruction, teaching choreography, and/or directing, choreographing or music direction of school musical production. Indicate any performance experience in college, community theater, regional theater, etc.

Instructor training will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2017 / 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.
