Radio City Sounds of Christmas serves as the opening to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and is designed to entertain audiences before the show begins at approximately 4:40 PM. The Radio City team encourages families to arrive when the house opens, one hour prior to curtain (4:00 PM). Be sure to arrive AND take your seat well before 4:40 PM, as the ushers will be seating over 5,000 audience members, and lines do form.

Cast Members are not required to wear a specific uniform at rehearsal. Clothing should be comfortable and non-constricting dance-like or exercise-like clothes.  You may choose sneakers or soft-soled dance shoes for footwear.


For the Radio City Sounds of Christmas performance, participants are asked to wear a black base outfit that must include a black turtleneck for both boys and girls. Costume accessories will be provided to all Cast Members. Style concepts as well as links of suggestions to purchase these items are listed below. As always, if your Cast Member has similar pieces at home, they are encouraged to bring those.


Once Cast Members sign in, they will remain under the supervision of Camp Broadway staff members through the conclusion of the performance. This includes transferring from Pearl Studios to Radio City Music Hall. Therefore, Cast Members should arrive at sign in with all components of their costume with them. They will change at Pearl Studios before departing for Radio City. We encourage you to pack lightly and should have a small bag to carry their rehearsal clothes to Radio City.


Girls may wear a black knee-length A-line or pencil skirt. They must wear black tights and black character shoes with a 2-inch heel or lower.

Keeping in mind that Cast Members will be wearing hats, girl performers can wear their hair in low braids, pigtails, or a ponytail. See below for inspiration.

Boys with short hair will mostly have it concealed under their hats and can just wear it neatly. Boys with longer hair can wear it tied back in a low ponytail.


In advance of your Cast Member’s arrival, we are attaching the lyric sheet for Camp Broadway’s holiday medley. Our creative team has asked that Cast Members take the next few weeks to familiarize themselves with the lyrics so we can get right to work when they arrive! The music track directly below is the full track with all parts combined.

Each Cast Member has been assigned a group based on their vocal range. Your group assignment was communicated in an email from Katie Wingler. If you cannot locate your group assignment, email Katie at Cast Members should practice their track using the lyric sheet above and the vocal track corresponding to your assignment below.

Christine Riley – Recent New York City credits include: Music Director/Arranger/Orchestrator for A Moment in Time with Stewart Lane, Music Director/Arranger for The Quiet Clock, Director and Music Director for EDGES and SHOUT! The Mod Musical (Marymount Manhattan College), as well as Musical Director for Sweet Charity with Jeff Shade, Rags with Barbara Siman-Strouse, Triumph of Love with Kevin Connell (Marymount Manhattan College), and 21st Century Noel Coward with Larry Fuller (Lincoln Center and the York Theatre). Other NYC credits include: My Vaudeville Man (The York Theatre), Gemini The Musical (The Acorn), Flight of the Lawnchair Man(37 Arts), Seesaw (The Connelly Theatre), and Count to Ten (Theatre at St. Clements). National Tour: Thoroughly Modern Millie. She has also served as the Music Director for numerous NYC cabaret shows as well as regional and university productions for the Prather Family of Theatres, Arizona State University, Cornell University, Casino Rama, and Fallsview Casino among others. Christine also arranged and conducted a new musical, Caterina’s Son, in Florence, Italy. She is a member of the Theatre faculty at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City and maintains a private vocal coaching studio. BM – Ithaca College / MM – Arizona State University.

Kristin Eley is a music director, teacher, performer, and songwriter from Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College with a degree in music education, and taught public school music for three years before moving to the Big Apple to pursue performance and directing. She most recently music directed the United Nations International School junior production of Singin’ In the Rain, and is also on staff with the New York Pops Teaching Program. Other credits include Honeydipped Apocalypse Girls (Kraine Theater), Aristocats, Punslingers: A Wordplay Musical (co-composer), Cinderella, Dumpster Cats, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Monteverdi’s 1610 Verpers (featured soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic). Kristin is a proud founding member of the all-female choral group, Helena Collective.

Diego Rios Originally from Mexico City, Diego is a proud graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC. He’s currently a principal soloist for AIDA Cruise Lines.   • What are the hours of Radio City Sounds of Christmas?

    Rehearsal and the performance will all take place on Sunday, December 9. Rehearsal in New York City will begin at approximately 8:30 AM. Location to be announced. Attendance at this rehearsal is mandatory for Cast Members. The program concludes at the end of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

  • Do you provide housing?

    Each Camp Broadway program has a dedicated page on our website featuring program details and other important information. A link to this page titled ‘The Callboard’ functions to update you on details specific to your family’s time with Camp Broadway and will be provided to you in your confirmation email. Details about travel deals and program locations, to lunch menus and costumes will be updated there for you.

  • What will Cast Members wear for the performance?

    Cast Members will be provided with costume accessories to wear during the performance. You will be provided with a description of clothing pieces to be worn in performance including footwear. This information will be sent to Cast Member’s families as soon as the costume design is finalized. No additional clothing or outer wear may be worn over the costume.

  • When will I receive a detailed schedule?

    Details of the schedule for all program rehearsals and related activities will be available approximately two weeks prior to the start of the program.

  • Where can I find program information and updates prior to receiving the final schedule details?

    Upon receiving a casting notice and confirming you are accepting the casting offer by registering your child(ren), you will receive a private link to a dedicated page on our website featuring program details and other important information. Details about travel deals and program locations, to lunch menus and costumes will be updated there for you.

  • Is full attendance mandatory?

    Yes. For Camp Broadway’s Performance Opportunity events, there are no excused absences for any reason.  Our team is skilled at rehearsing a cast of young performers with very focused use of a short rehearsal period.  Therefore, all Cast Members must be present and fully participate at all times.

  • Does my child need to bring lunch?

    No. Lunch and dinner where applicable, healthy snacks and water will be provided during rehearsal times. All Camp Broadway programs are nut free. Additionally, any medical or dietary needs will be accommodated. You may send your Cast Member with a meal if you so desire. You will have an opportunity to indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions during the registration process.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Performance opportunities are non-refundable. If a session is cancelled by Camp Broadway, the full fee will be refunded. If Cast Members withdraw from the program, they will not be entitled to a refund.

  • Can the participants leave the premises on his or her own, or must a parent or guardian be present?

    There will be no self-sign out option available for this event. All Cast Members must be signed out by an authorized adult at a location we will designate.

  • Can I get a letter describing the reason for my Cast Member’s absence from School?

    Yes. CLICK HERE to download a school excuse letter.

  • Will parents be able to watch rehearsals?

    No. Due to space and security constraints, parents are not permitted to watch rehearsals in-studio.
