As we approach the Hollywood Christmas Parade, we want to address any concerns about the situation in California. We will continue to follow the advisories issued by the parade and local authorities. The below notification was shared with us:

The wildfires are dissipating, and we are continually monitoring the progress as firefighters are working to contain the spread. We do want to note that any person with health or respiratory issues should plan to travel with necessary medication and/or inhalers should you feel there is a chance that air quality could potentially be bothersome to you personally.

  • When should we plan to arrive in Los Angeles?

We recommend travelling on Thursday, November 22, 2018 which is the day prior to the first rehearsal.  We recognize this requires travel on Thanksgiving Day. To celebrate the holiday, we’ve arranged for those who have elected to purchase the Accommodation and Benefits Package, a Thanksgiving dinner with the Camp Broadway staff will be included in the experience, though you are not required to attend.

  • What are the rehearsal hours?

The dates of rehearsal are Friday, November 23 & Saturday, November 24 with the parade performance on Sunday, November 25. The general rehearsal schedule is 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday – Monday.

  • Do you provide housing?

Camp Broadway and Gateway Music Festivals & Tours, the Exclusive Travel Planner to the Hollywood Christmas Parade, have arranged an Accommodations and Benefits Package exclusively for Camp Broadway families. This is at an additional cast per person travelling. However, we strongly encourage families to take advantage of the savings the package represents. (*does not include airfare or similar travel to and from Los Angeles)

Additionally, this enables us to supervise your children as a cast with the diligence and professionalism you have come to expect from Camp Broadway It is important that members of the Camp Broadway Kids Ensemble stay together in a hotel that provides us ease of transportation and oversight of the cast to and from all rehearsals and official parade events. CLICK HERE for more information.

While it is not required, you are encouraged to do so.  The hotel (to be confirmed) will be the gathering point for Cast Members.  Departure to all rehearsals and official activities will be by motor-coach provided as part of this package.  Access to a meal plan, exclusive parade viewing, admission to Universal Studios and other great benefits are only available to families participating in this package. While it is provided and managed by a third party, it’s endorsed by Camp Broadway. This is not only so we can supervise and manage your children effectively, but it’s also a great deal! In comparing pricing, we were unable to find competitive hotel-only pricing.
