What is the Rialto BookClub?
The Rialto BookClub is a national book club designed for kids ages 7 – 17 who love to read and have an interest in the arts.
How are the books selected?
The books are selected by school librarian, Stacey Rattner. Stacey collaborates with a diverse group of authors, publishers, librarians, educators, and artists to select books around a quarterly theme chosen by the team at Camp Broadway. There are three age ranges: 7 -10, 10 -13, and 14 and up.
Is it free to join?
Yes. The Rialto BookClub Membership is free of charge.
What are the benefits of a Membership?
Subscribers will receive a monthly newsletter, delivered via email, that features the reading lists in all three categories. The newsletter will also contain information about the books, the selection process, and feature stories geared toward young readers who have an interest in the performing arts.
More benefits are coming soon including, download-able bookmarks, games, and other activities related to the books featured in the reading list.
Does this program take place entirely online?
Yes. Currently, this program is entirely online. The monthly Newsletter which contains the quarterly reading list is delivered via email and is also available on Camp Broadway’s Good Reads page. Access to the Meet the Author sessions is fully online.
