How do I book a Camp Broadway Workshop?

Do I have to purchase tickets to a Broadway show?

No. Camp Broadway Workshops are available separate and apart from purchasing a show ticket. If you are interested in seeing a show on your trip, we are happy to refer you to a group sales agent.

How much do the workshops cost?

Prices for Camp Broadway workshops range from $25 to $30 per person. Minimums apply. You can find specific details under the heading of each workshop offering:

Is there a group minimum?

Flat rates apply to groups of 25 or fewer. Ask us about recommendations for small groups.

What is the maximum number of participants?

We can accommodate any number of participants. If the total number of participants exceeds maximum participants for a particular workshop, an additional studio and teacher can be arranged. Minimum rates apply per studio session.

How long are the workshops?

Camp Broadway Workshops are 90 minutes.

Where do the workshops take place?

Camp Broadway workshops are always held in authentic Broadway rehearsal studios that are also used by professional productions. Locations frequently used by Camp Broadway include:

  • Pearl Studios located on the 12th floor of 500 8th Avenue AND/OR Pearl Studios located on the 12th floor of 519 8th Avenue.
  • Ripley-Grier Studios located at 520 8th Avenue.
  • DANY Studios located at 305 West 38th Street.
Who are the workshop instructors?

Camp Broadway Workshop Instructors have Broadway credits, most are currently in Broadway Shows and have a background and interest in teaching. All instructors are trained or vetted by Camp Broadway.

Do all members of my group have to participate in the same workshop session?

If you have a group of participants with varied interests you can certainly book separate workshop sessions scheduled concurrently. The group minimum rates apply per studio session.

Can chaperones observe the workshop?

Yes, as long as there is sufficient space available so that the participant’s activity can occur comfortably and the fire and safety codes for each studio space are honored.

When will I receive complete information about the workshop?

A complete information packet with complete details will be made available one week prior to your event. Should you need location information prior to this date please contact Kathy Campbell, Talent Liaison; 212.575.2150/ Due to the nature of live events, all workshops details are confirmed one week prior to the event. The information packet will be emailed to the group leader or tour operator. The information packet contains: Workshop Instructor name and biography, Camp Broadway Host name and on-site contact number, and studio street address and floor number.

Where do I go when I arrive at the studio?

Enter the lobby and proceed to the floor number which will be communicated to you in the information packet. If you need the studio address earlier than one week in advance of your workshop, please contact Kathy Campbell.

Who will meet and manage the group onsite?

A Camp Broadway Host will greet your group when they exit the elevator of the floor of the workshop location and will guide them to the studio(s). The host will remain onsite for the duration of your workshop to moderate the workshop and ensure the groups’ needs are met. Camp Broadway Hosts are certified in CPR and First Aid.

Who do I call if I have a question the day of the workshop?

You can contact your Camp Broadway Host using a phone number provided in the information packet beginning one half hour before the start of your workshop.

Am I allowed to video the workshop or take photos?

No. Video and photos during the workshop cause a distraction to both the Workshop Instructors and the participants. At the end of the session, the Camp Broadway Host will take a group photo with the participants and the Workshop Instructor. This will be made available to the leader of your group or tour operator.
