Ali Stroker found her gift at a young age and never let go. She fell in love with performing at 6, starring as Annie in a backyard musical with the neighborhood kids. They wore costumes, built a set, and her dad, Jim Stroker, played Miss Hannigan. Her mom, Jody Schleicher, will always remember that summer. "It just made her come out of her shell," Schleicher said.

At 2, Ali and her brother, Jake, then 4, were severely injured in a car accident minutes from their Ridgewood home. Ali was left a paraplegic, a toddler who would grow up in a wheelchair.

Nine days ago, the golden-haired soprano graduated from the Musical Theatre Conservatory at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
